Dr. Purnendu Mishra is presently working as Principal & Associate Professor in the Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Vikash Institute of Technology (Formerly Vikash College of Engineering for Women), Bargarh. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research and industries.

Dr. Purnendu Mishra received his Ph.D degree from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (Formerly University College of Engineering),Burla for the research work "Digital Signal Processing Technique for analysis of genomic and proteomic data. He received the M.Tech degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with specialization of Communication System Engineering, B.Tech degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Diploma degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and MBA degree with specialization of HR & Finance.

His current research area is genomic and proteomic signal processing, microarray data analysis, drug design, cancer analysis, and reconfigurable architecture design based on digital signal processing techniques. His research area also includes some core Electronics papers and Applied Electronics papers. He published many papers on significant approach of ECG, PPG, EMG signals.

Dr. Purnendu Mishra has been involved in several international and National conferences and workshops. He is a Technical Editor for the IJARST (International Journal of Advanced Research in Science and Technology) and IJCMST (International Journal of Creative Mathematical Sciences and Technology).

Dr. Purnendu Mishra is the life member of many professional Bodies. He is a Lifetime member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education), Associate member of IETE (Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers), Associate member of IE (Institution of Engineers) etc.
